I’m now assuming all gearhard achievements are merit badges. Yesterday this trim popped out on the hwy, today I put it back in. This makes two in one weekend, my personal best.....so far...
I bought some car trim glue, and wiped out the track, let it dry, applied the glue, and inserted the trim. Actually pretty easy. Like really easy. I was surprised but glad.
It looks sloppy, but that’s what the previous owner did. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t done properly then, which is why it ripped out at high speeds.. So...it’ll be curious to see if my fix was the one that fixes it for good. If it doesn’t, it just do the quick fix again.

It is!
Keep up the small scale wrenching and I’m sure that before long you’ll be performing engine swaps in your driveway!

I’ll be doing my golf car in the summer, with grandpas help. The generator needs to be taken out and have the bristles fixed/replace. Plus new wheels in the rear. Actually, I'll be doing a lot to that golf cart, :).

Ah man, I’d love to mess around with something electric. I’d quite like to convert a car to electric but it’s finding the time and funds.

Actually it’s gas, but to my understanding, the generator helps start the engine. What’s happening is, is that the generator isn’t charging the battery. It’ll take about 6 hours to kill the battery with continuous use, and 2 hours with the lights on. That needs to be fixed.
It’s a 1990 Ezgo gas golf cart, :).
